Are for adoption

Adoption FAQ - NCH Children's Charities

Am I too old/too young to adopt?

The legal minimum age for adoption is 21. There is no upper limit set by law. Most agencies work to a guideline of a maximum of 40 years between the age of the adopter and that of the child.

But it's not just about age. What's important is the ability to provide a home for a child or children with very special needs.

We also consider factors such as the health and childcare experience of potential adopters.
